Siemens certifies current XPhone solutions

Within the framework of comprehensive certification tests performed in test laboratories in Brussels, Siemens Enterprise Networks has officially confirmed the extensive compatibility of the new XPhone UC 2011 solutions including all CTI and Unified Messaging services for three key platforms:

• OpenScape Voice V5
• HiPath 4000 V6
• HiPath 3000 V8

Apart from the T.38 protocol, the fax-over-IP functions offered by the XPhone UC server are now also released for HiPath 3000 systems and Codec G.711 (Softfax). This enables parallel transmission and receipt of faxes via several channels.

The CTI link between OpenScape Voice V5 and HiPath 4000 V6 can be via a direct CSTA system link in future; separate Siemens CAP middleware is only required in special cases, e.g. when linking with virtual number plans (VNR). Start-up and maintenance are significantly facilitated by the absence of the CAP server.
